DB4 Multi Directional HDTV Antenna

Antennas Direct DB4 Multi Directional HDTV Antenna

Antennas Direct DB4 Multi Directional HDTV Antenna
Binding: Electronics
Manufacturer: Antennas Direct
Product Description:
The DB4 has become our most popular model because it is simply the best Mid Range HDTV antenna on the market. With an approximate 13.7 dB gain, it is one of the strongest multi-directional antennas available and performs consistently across the entire UHF spectrum. It even works well in areas where HD transmitters are in multiple directions. The bow tie design of the DB4 uses triangular elements instead of rods to greatly increase the bandwidth allowing it to cover the entire UHF band. Additionally, the mesh reflector of the bowtie is more efficient than a rod reflector, is lower in weight, and provides less wind resistance for greater performance and durability. If you are looking for an antenna that is practically guaranteed to perform, the DB4 is one of your safest choices. It will pull in all UHF frequencies and most higher level VHF frequencies with a range of about 55 miles.

Antennas Direct DB4 Multi Directional HDTV Antenna
Purchased Antennas Direct DB4 Multi Directional HDTV Antenna and set up it on the roof of my house.
Application: Sharp Aquos 46 " HDTV LCD 1080p.
Area: Santa Ana California 92704
Issues: Rotated the antenna 360 degree to get VHS channels, but could not get the channel 2. I do not know why.
Any advices or helps?.
Thanks.

good antenna
This is the strongest antenna I have tried. It gets good picture for channels 6-115. But I need to move the antenna around to
find a best location.

Great but read fine print
I'm satisfied with this product. I have it in the attic with a Phillips 24db amplifier (12db per channel). I live in Sandusky, Ohio, which is 55 miles from the Cleveland stations and 35-45 miles from the Toledo stations (also 100 miles from Detroit stations). I can pick up the stations in Cleveland and Toledo and 1 station in Detroit.

So that's all great.

Here is what else you need to know:

This antenna is NOT multi-directional. Do not be decieved by that. I have to point it at Cleveland or at Toledo to pick up the stations in each locale (or at Detroit to pick up the one station). The instructions say: "Make sure elements (bowties) are facing transmitting towers."

The instructions also tell you: "Attic Installations will cut 40%-50% of your signal strength." I do not know if I am making up for that by using the amplifier or if I would receive even better signal if I could mount it outside on the roof.

tv antennas
Good reception. Installed in attic. Have had digital freeze of picture, or weaking of the siginal. This hasn't happened often. Good picture 98% of the time.I live 23 miles, in a hilly area, away from the farthest station. I would recommend this attenna.

works great
Product get good clear signal. I live in between mountains and am in airport landing zone. Went from 3 channels to 9. I have it sitting on the floor hopefully when I put it on a pole outside I will get more channels, but I am happy with the 9 channels now. they come in as clear as cable.
